Shipping
Our urns are shipped UPS Ground Service every day.  The amount of time before delivery depends on your shipping zone.  Shipping charges apply to Next Day or 2nd Day Service.  Urns shipped outside of New York are not subject to sales tax by the Seller. Purchaser is liable for all sales or other taxes on orders shipped into any state other than New York. Seller is responsible and Purchaser is liable for sales tax on any urn purchased for use in New York.


Payment
We use outside credit card processing services we offer our online shopping cart to make your payments easier.   All payments are acknowledged our company.
 

Ordering
Ordering may be done on-line, or by telephone.   Our preferred method of ordering is done on-line so we may keep track of our orders and payments.  All orders our company by an instant responder and a personal e-mail when the urn has been mailed.    

 
Return Policy
Returns may only be made on products that must have shipping damage or problems deemed returnable by a customer service representative.  For "non-satisfaction" claims by customer, customer will pay all shipping charges and contact us within 3 days from receipt.  And return the item within 3 days after we acknowledge acceptance of a returned product.  Only cost of urn will be refunded.  We do not guarantee that every urn is exactly the same color, size, or wood characteristic that may appear on the web site.  You are selecting a model style.  All delivery and shipping charges are non-refundable. Return shipping charges are paid by the customer.  Orders accepted by 10AM Eastern Standard Time are considered accepted for that day, Monday through Friday. All orders after 10AM or on Saturday, Sundays, and major Holidays, are considered processed for the following available business day. Shipments on Saturday, if allowed, may incur extra charges. Size and Dimensions
Urns are available in three sizes:  Full (180+ cu. inches), Medium (120-180 cu. inches), and Keepsake (less than 120 cu. inches).  All urns shipped will have at least 180+ cu. inches of capacity unless otherwise requested.  We have found this to be sufficient capacity for most human cremains.  Most models will fit inside a standard urn vault of 12x12x12 inches.

We receive and store any information that you entered on our Web site.  You can choose not to register and shop without providing any information until the checkout process begins. 

While "cookies" are always a part of the web browser process, we do not use them for marketing or customer profiling. 

We utilize Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software which encrypts the information you input.  Your credit card information will go directly to Pay Pal, the credit card and payment processing service we use.  The employees of SOUTHWOOD URN COMPANY will never see your complete credit card information and it will not be stored in the data files at our company. 

We never share or sell any customer information to any other entity.  Your information is stored in our data base so that we can be of service to you when you call and so we can send you our yearly on-line catalog.  No other person or business will ever have access to your information.

Disclosure
Southwood Urns are a unique all-wood product.  They are made from solid wood blanks that are a product of extremely dense wood.  Please do not leave your urn in direct sunlight or near a heat source, which could cause checking in the wood.  Although we strive to provide the highest quality urns, the intrinsic characters of these woods may result in minor flaws such as knots and fine checking,  enhancing the uniqueness of the urn.
